Buy My Cookies for Charity This Saturday at the Brooklyn Flea's Food Bloggers Bake Sale
Update (4/19/10): The bake sale raised over $1000! Awesomesauce! Thanks to everyone who came out on Saturday!
Cookies!
My homemade Ad Hoc chocolate chip cookies, among a bagillion other tasty sweets baked by the hands of New York City food bloggers, will be available this Saturday, April 17, at the Brooklyn Flea in Fort Green as part of the first National Food Bloggers Bake Sale. Proceeds will be donated to Share Our Strength, an organization working to end childhood hunger in the US.
My cookie dough is sitting in the fridge now (to be baked on Friday night); it's WAITING FOR YOUR MOUTH. TO EAT IT.
I'm dropping my cookies off at the market around 10 a.m. If you're there at the same time for some crazy reason—and that is crazy early for a Saturday morning, my god, sleep in—say hi to me, even if I look half dead. And buy a cookie! Or something else. No pressure. Just think about all those hungry children.
[Thanks to Jacqueline for organizing the bake sale!]

Wow, great idea. I have yet to visit the Brooklyn Flea and this sounds like a great time to go (so I can meet you) but I'm so, so busy. *sadness* Those cookies look great. One of these days I will make it there.
Damn, I wish the flea hadn't JUST moved, it was really close to me in its temporary location. I'm rarely up before 10 as it is, with my super late nights o' work, so even if I can drag myself out before work on Saturday I think I'd end up missing you.
Hey Robby! This is Gar! Sorry, should've told you my 'real' name. :) Cool that I bumped into you. Hope I didn't scare ya. I didn't see your CCC (chocolate chip cookies), but I bought an English flapjack for my mom. Brooklyn Flea Market is 'fleary' cool! I didn't buy anything though. I've enough 'stuff' at home already. Hope you're having a nice weekend. WOuld love to take part of the baking sale in the future!
Your comments won't get published until I approve them, which could take up to a week.
Sorry! :( Unfortunately, getting to your legit comments, which I love dearly,
requires wading through bucketloads of spam. I apologize in advance if I accidentally
delete your comment during one of my spam-killing sessions.
If you comment under your business's name, I will unpublish your comment. I'll unpublish anything that looks overly self-promotional or doesn't appear to be from a real human. This only applies to 0.5% of you guys; as for the rest of you, stay awesome.
If you have something to ask me that's unrelated to this entry, please email me instead.
If you do want to help me out monetarily, here are some easy non-obtrusive ways to give back:
- Buy stuff through my Amazon ID!: This is the BEST WAY to help me out without throwing money at my feet. I buy most of my material goods from amazon.com, and it would help me shittons if you bought stuff through my link. - Buy t-shirts through my Threadless Street Team thinger - Get webhosting with Dreamhost.com and enter roboppy@gmail.com as the referral

I "post process" all my photos in Photoshop to make them suck less. Of course, you need a camera to take semi-decent photos first, but without Photoshop, I am nothing.

Please don’t hate me if I haven’t included you. I tried to whittle this down to a manageable list, but there are just too many food blogs out there that I like! I shall update this list every so often.
