Buy My Cookies for Charity This Saturday at the Brooklyn Flea's Food Bloggers Bake Sale

Update (4/19/10): The bake sale raised over $1000! Awesomesauce! Thanks to everyone who came out on Saturday!

COOKIES!
Cookies!

My homemade Ad Hoc chocolate chip cookies, among a bagillion other tasty sweets baked by the hands of New York City food bloggers, will be available this Saturday, April 17, at the Brooklyn Flea in Fort Green as part of the first National Food Bloggers Bake Sale. Proceeds will be donated to Share Our Strength, an organization working to end childhood hunger in the US.

My cookie dough is sitting in the fridge now (to be baked on Friday night); it's WAITING FOR YOUR MOUTH. TO EAT IT.

I'm dropping my cookies off at the market around 10 a.m. If you're there at the same time for some crazy reason—and that is crazy early for a Saturday morning, my god, sleep in—say hi to me, even if I look half dead. And buy a cookie! Or something else. No pressure. Just think about all those hungry children.

[Thanks to Jacqueline for organizing the bake sale!]

Wow, great idea. I have yet to visit the Brooklyn Flea and this sounds like a great time to go (so I can meet you) but I'm so, so busy. *sadness* Those cookies look great. One of these days I will make it there.

What a great cause! Do you know the price range of the goodies? Wow, there'll surly be a huge sugar rush in Brooklyn tomorrow. :)

I baked these cookies after you wrote about them the first time--they really are delicious!

Damn, I wish the flea hadn't JUST moved, it was really close to me in its temporary location. I'm rarely up before 10 as it is, with my super late nights o' work, so even if I can drag myself out before work on Saturday I think I'd end up missing you.

eula: Aw, there will be more opportunities to check out the Flea!

kim: I think $1-5. Gonna eat so much sugar, mmmyes.

Julie: Glad you liked em!

anna: Oh yeah, I definitely wouldn't wanna wake up that early if I were you. :( No dragging!

If Fort Green were closer, I'd buy the entire batch!

Hey Robby! This is Gar! Sorry, should've told you my 'real' name. :) Cool that I bumped into you. Hope I didn't scare ya. I didn't see your CCC (chocolate chip cookies), but I bought an English flapjack for my mom. Brooklyn Flea Market is 'fleary' cool! I didn't buy anything though. I've enough 'stuff' at home already. Hope you're having a nice weekend. WOuld love to take part of the baking sale in the future!
