I started reading a book last night about eating disorders for one of my classes and there was a section about binge eaters. I don't have a very serious binge eating problem, although today I stayed home while my mum and brother went to Buffet 23 since I knew I'd probably eat too much. I ended up eating seemingly everything in the house while they were gone though, so I probably missed the point.
Anyway. One method people use to control their binge eating is to not have food in the house. This was my method until I got a roommate. Of course she should be allowed to have whatever food she wants, but that is truly the only way for me to not eat craploads of food unless the only choices of food in the house are canned soup, ramen, and beer (just throwing out some foods that I'm not likely to eat).
I think my organs feel better today.
